Our Story

We were founded by Dr Jamie Hogan and started in early 2024 under the stewardship of both Jamie and Emeritus Professor Robyn Broadbent. We thus quickly went about gathering some of the most diverse and eminent people from around Victoria to form the first Steering Group specifically focused on regional people, regional communities. and their concerns.  We are now an incorporated association and act as a truely independent research institute

Our Community

At the Derek Amos Institute we believe that building a strong and supportive community through proper research and released opinions is key to success. That's why we've created a platform in regional Victoria for regional people. It puts regional communities first and fosters a sense of connection to what we do in rural areas {commonly referred to as the bush} and gain the opinions of regional Victorians and their needs.
